This band has been compared to such national acts as Dillenger ESscape Plan and Mr. Bungle. They are without question one of the most talented bands coming out of St. Louis right now. With their recent signing to Lambgoat Records and their upcoming release of "arrangements for fulminating vective", they are set to show the rest of the country that there is more to the "Lou" than Nelly.

If you can't wait that long you can check them out this Friday at Center Stage in Farmington with Breedlove, Auburn Serene, Gone By Sunrise, Dressed for a Funeral and Calico System. It should be one hell of a show.

Lambgoat Records, a new record label formed by the people behind metal/hardcore webzine Lambgoat.com, has officially been launched. The label doesn't intend to stray from the genres typically covered by Lambgoat.com, but will attempt to avoid duplicating avenues previously traveled. As such, Lambgoat Records has officially signed St. Louis act LYE BY MISTAKE.
Combining elements of metal, fusion, and jazz, LYE BY MISTAKE should appeal to fans of such diverse artists as THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, MR. BUNGLE, and JOHN MCLAUGHLIN. Some previous acts have attempted similar endeavors, but few have possessed the musicianship to back it up. According to Lambgoat Records owner Alex Arnold, "Everyone in the band is truly gifted, but LYE BY MISTAKE guitarist Josh Bauman is one of the most original and talented guitarists I've ever had the pleasure of hearing while running Lambgoat.com, and I've heard more guitarists than most." A sample of Bauman's playing (from the band's new album) can be heard at this location.
Having just secured an exclusive distribution deal with Lumberjack Mordam, Lambgoat Records will release LYE BY MISTAKE's new album, "Arrangements For Fulminating Vective", on May 9. In the meantime, you can check out a full track from the new album here.
LYE BY MISTAKE will be on the road all spring and summer in support of the new release, including a July tour with THE TONY DANZA TAPDANCE EXTRAVAGANZA.
